I love these delightful inventions by Monica Bernier that explore new possibilities for shape and sensuous color. I particularly enjoyed the whimsical forms of her Desert series as well as the formal compositional investigations of her collages and her cutouts shown in this slideshow.

Thank you for sharing these images. I love these works!
Curious how the artist arrives at these compositions and what kinds of sources she uses for materials in her collage. I would love to hear her talk about how her collage practice informs her painting and vice versa. How does she think about color and space in her collage, and how does that relate to her observation and representation of color and perspective in her painting?
